Lets take a little trip back in time .... to last December. The first total Lunar eclipse to occur on winter solstice in 372 years. We were lucky enough to have mostly clear skies that night. Towards the very end clouds started to roll in.

The Pre-show. Full moon, bright as can be!

Slowly slipping into the shadow of the Earth.

Near totality. Such a huge extreme in the overall brightness. It's impossible to keep the detail on the top.

Totality has arrived. The moon bathed in a redish orange light from passing through Earth's atmosphere.
