MAY - We made the annual spring trip to Denali NP for some biking. Sure wish I would have trained more...three mt passes, headwinds (both ways!), and the extra weight from camera gear and my winter laziness made for some tough riding. Though our actual biking time was about the same as usual it felt rough at times. Anyway, we had a good day. Good weather aside from the wind. Some good sightings including a Golden Eagle, a distant bear, a bachelor herd of sheep, and a ground squirrel brawl that made the ufc look mellow!

More sunset from the night before - Alpenglow backlighting spindrift from the peak.

sunrise Denali

Sunrise from our camp site - 4:50 am :) - amazing how different the light direction changes the scene.

The boys posturing.

"Blood, what blood? Pass the left over berries I'm starving, mmm, mm, mmm, yummy" - or maybe he was praying....
