Our occupational therapist is a leader in her field. She is involved in treating a multitude of problems including but are not limited to; deficits from CVA, TBI, other central nervous system disorders, and cognitive deficits. The treatments vary from working towards restoration of fine motor skills, to community re-entry, and other functional tasks such as dressing, bathing, and self-care. She is skilled at identifying the need for adaptive equipment such as grab bars, special utensils or devices to make cooking, feeding, and/or dressing easier.
In addition to the services above, she also administers FCE's (functional capacity exams). The FCE is an examination that can take several hours. These assessments are designed to assess your current functional capacity. These assessments are often required after a work-related injury, or when returning to the work force following any injury.
